Extension of tenure of the engagement of all GDS working as Territory Officers’ for One year in India Post Payments Bank (IPPB)

Subject: Extension of tenure of the engagement of all GDS working as Territory Officers’ for One year in India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).

       1.A kind reference is invited to your office email dated 3rd May, 2021 on engagement of Gramin Dak Sevak for the post of Territory Officers’ in India Post Payment Bank from Department of Posts.

        2. The matter has been examined in light of the CoVID-19 pandemic. Considering that under the Pandemic situation it would be difficult to initiate recruitment process for fresh engagement of Gramin Dak Sevak, it has been decided that, one-year extension may be granted to all Gramin Dak Sevak presently engaged with IPPB as an exception considering the present situation.

        3. In this regard, I am directed to request you to extend the tenure of engagement of all Gramin Dak Sevak who presently working in India Post Payments Bank till the fresh recruitment of process of sourcing of Gramin Dak Sevak is taken up. 

      4. This issues with the approval of Secretary (Posts).
